John Carlin to Discuss Data Security at IAPP Global Privacy Summit

Cybersecurity & Data Protection Co-Chair John Carlin will participate in a panel, “All About the New Rules to Prevent Access to Americans' Sensitive Personal Data,” at the 2025 IAPP Global Privacy Summit. The panel will examine the regulatory framework of the U.S. Department of Justice’s new data security program, which aims to address threats posed by certain countries’ efforts to access Americans’ sensitive personal data and U.S. government-related data. The discussion will also cover practical compliance tips and common pitfalls, merging the perspectives of privacy and national security law.
