Scott Sher and Chris Wilson Featured in Vault Q&A on Paul, Weiss’s Antitrust Practice

April 24, 2025

Antitrust Global Co-chair Scott Sher and partner Chris Wilson were featured in a Q&A on Paul, Weiss’s antitrust practice in the 2025 edition of “Practice Perspectives: Vault’s Guide to Legal Practice Areas.” In the Q&A, Scott and Chris discuss what it takes to build a career in antitrust and how the multifaceted nature of the practice makes it unique.

“People often don’t know whether to categorize antitrust as litigation or corporate law, but antitrust is the closest you can get to a hybrid between the two areas. I do a tremendous amount of work every day with M&A clients, but I apply a litigation skill set,” Scott says. “Very few firms are powerhouses in both M&A and litigation, but Paul, Weiss is unmatched in both areas, and that facilitates a really robust antitrust practice here.”

Scott and Chris also describe the culture of the Paul, Weiss antitrust practice and the training junior attorneys receive, among other topics.

“At Paul, Weiss, associates of all levels gain unparalleled experience working on complex, high-stakes matters. Junior antitrust lawyers often write the first draft of a letter to the government, draft summaries of discussions, and research clients’ companies and business segments,” Chris says. “Our associates play a critical role in our group from the moment they join Paul, Weiss.”

Vault’s annual “Practice Perspectives” guide offers insights from lawyers at top-ranked law firms on practicing law in more than 20 different practice areas.
